Hi ya'll. My name is Danielle Cervasio and I am currently a second-year PhD student at Stony Brook University. I'm really excited about what I do but also recognize everyday that working towards a PhD is NOT trivial. I want to give people outside of academia a taste of what we do, because it is nothing like anyone expects. We come up with obscure hypotheses about things, design experiments that never work the first time, read tons of scientific literature which still seems like another language, and are just straight up wrong nearly 90% of the time. We are all still learning new things everyday and that is what makes this journey worth-while; and I want to share it with you!
